Nursery were lucky enough to have a visit from one of our local heros, Sue! Sue began helping the hedgehogs in her area and soon found herself building her own hedgehog hospital where she feeds and treats the animals until they are ready to be let back into the wild. We were so excited to meet Spike and listened carefully to how we can help. Everyone then presented Sue with a pack of cat or dog food to say thank you!
Butterfly class have shown a great interest in Chinese New Year this term - especially finding out about the dragon dance! On Thursday they had a go at performing the dance - which including marching, jumping, hopping and skipping before making our own healthy Chinese style noodles! The children all learnt how to use knives safely to cut up vegetables and then had a go at eating new foods. Well done Nursery!
Nursery and Reception enjoyed a wonderful trip to Shepreth Wildlife Park where they were able to get up close to some weird and wonderful creatures! Some of our highlights were hearing the ruffed lemurs scream, walking through the bat cave, watching the tigers, being able to touch African landsnails, centipedes, stick insects and rabbits and of course packed lunch!
Caterpillar class enjoyed their special 'p' themed party today. The children were encouraged to make choices about what they wanted on their pizzas and supported to safely assemble their masterpieces! Later on we enjoyed having parents come to our picnic where we ate popcorn and party rings! Thank you to everyone that helped out!
