A busy half term

A Busy Half Term Ahead!

Despite all of the restrictions that we are still working within, we are determined to make this half term as fun and exciting as possible for all of our children. Here are some of the things to look forward to:

• All year groups either have a trip out, or a visitor in, booked for this half term; Nursery and Reception had theirs this week, with a visit from Lion Learners. Many of the special days are in the diary dates (right) and others will be announced by class teachers next week. A special thank you goes to our amazing PTA, who have once again donated £200 per class to reduce the cost of each trip or visit to parents.

• The week commencing Monday 21 st June is Primary Games Week: as well as the ‘bubble-based’ sports days (right), Mrs Baxter is finalising a programme of other special events such as archery and dodgeball. Please note that we have designed the sports day programme in the hope that we can invite parents, but we will not be able to confirm this until we receive the latest Government guidance.

• The week commencing Monday 12th July is our annual Creative Arts Week: this year, the theme is ‘performing arts’, the intention being that each class will perform at the end of the week (Years 4 and 5 on the afternoon of Thursday 15th July, Early Years and Years 1 to 3 on the morning of Friday 16th July and Year 6 on the afternoon of Friday 16th July). Again, we will confirm if we are allowed to welcome families onto the field to watch their child(ren)’s performance(s) nearer the time.

There are more exciting events to be announced, so make sure you don’t miss any of our communications.
