Coffee & Cake and PTA meetings update

18th October 2019
‘Coffee, Cake & Chat’ and PTA Meeting Updates

Thank you so much to those of you who attended Tuesday’s ‘Coffee, Cake & Chat’, our informal parents’ forum where you can help us to get even better.

Subjects discussed included:

- Uniform: We will be publishing additional guidance regarding our uniform expectations; we are reviewing our uniform suppliers, and will meet with a different provider after half term to compare what they can offer; and the House Captains are leading on an initiative to introduce shoe racks for when pupils change their shoes for playtimes during wet weather.

- Transition: The ‘buddy’ system is popular for new Reception pupils, and two ‘move up days’ for all classes at the end of the summer term works well; we are going to make sure that the information we publish on our website and in our brochure is even clearer.

- Parental Engagement: Our PTA continue to do an amazing job, and opportunities to come in and see what the children have been learning about are appreciated; we want to make sure that we give new parents lots of chances to feel part of the school community, including social events as well as fundraisers and class-based sessions.

Later the same day, the PTA held their monthly meeting.
