Performance Data and Results 2019
- In Reception, 80% of our Bumblebees achieved the Government's expected 'Good Level of Development’, which was above the most recent national average of 71.5% (the 2019 national average will be published next month).
- Year 1 pupils completed the Government's Phonics Screening Check in June, and 87% achieved the expected standard – this was above the 2019 national average of 82%, and was the fifth time in six years where we have been above the national average.
- By the end of Year 2, 88% of pupils achieved the expected standard in phonics (including those pupils who did not achieve the standard in Year 1 and had to repeat the Screening Check in Year 2) which broadly in line with the 2019 national average of 91%.
- In Year 2, we achieved positive results at the end of Key Stage 1, which were broadly in line with or above the 2019 national averages.
- In reading:
- 75% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national average = 75%);
- 21% of pupils were working at greater depth (national average = 25%)
- In writing:
- 71% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national average = 69%);
- 17% of pupils were working at greater depth (national average = 15%).
- In maths:
- 71% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national average = 76%);
- 19% of pupils were working at greater depth (national average = 22%).
Our Year 4 pupils took part in the Government’s new Multiplication Tables Check.
- Although this was only a pilot before the Check is officially introduced this year, and therefore there was no mark set for pupils to achieve the expected standard and no national averages have been announced:
- 89% of pupils scored 20 out of 25 or higher;
- 26% of pupils scored full marks.
- In Year 6, we achieved fantastic results: our pupils exceeded eight out of ten school records, and almost all of the 2019 national averages.
- In reading:
- 75% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national average = 73%);
- 30% of pupils achieved a high score (national average = 27%);
- The average scaled score was 106 (national average = 104);
- The average progress score from Year 2 to Year 6 was +2.4 (zero is expected progress).
- In writing:
- 83% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national average = 78%);
- 23% of pupils achieved the expected standard at greater depth (national average = 20%).
- The average scaled score was 102 (national average = 102);
- The average progress score from Year 2 to Year 6 was +0.6 (zero is expected progress).
- In spelling, punctuation & grammar:
- 83% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national average = 78%);
- 25% of pupils achieved a high score (national average = 36%);
- The average scaled score was 104 (national average = 106).
- In maths:
- 90% of pupils achieved the expected standard (national average = 79%);
- 30% of pupils achieved a high score (national average = 27%);
- The average scaled score was 106 (national average = 105);
- The average progress score from Year 2 to Year 6 was +2.5 (zero is expected progress).
