Second National Lockdown

5th November 2020
Dear parents & carers,

SECOND LOCKDOWN PROCEDURES

I hope you are all keeping safe and well. I am writing to update you on a small number of important changes to our procedures which will take effect from Thursday5thNovember2020.

Firstly, I would like to thank you all very much for your continued support and understanding; I would also like to pay tribute to our staff, who are working with their usual commitment and dedication to make sure that your children are kept safe and provided with the best possible education, even in these challenging times.

The vast majority of our routines and procedures have worked extremely well since the start of this term, and will continue for the foreseeable future. However, in order to make sure that we protect our pupils, families and staff as much as possible, we will be introducing the following additional measures from this Thursday:

•All adults must wear a face covering on the school site during pick up and drop off times(with the exception of staff who remain inside the building);

•Only one adult per family may accompany the children on the school site during pick up and drop off times;

•Families must not congregate outside the front of the school site during pick up and drop off times(between the junctions of Exning Road &Hammond Close, and Exning Road &Laureate School Road).

In addition, please note the attached poster, which will be displayed in all areas where adults congregate: these are the strict criteria that NHS Test and Trace use to determine who has to self-isolate in the event that someone tests positive for COVID-19. If you have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19, as defined by any one of these four rules, you will be instructed to self-isolate for 14 days.

If you have any questions regarding the above or any of our procedures, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Mr Perkins
