Sensory Garden Competition Winners

Every year, the Junior Leadership Team plans and delivers a ‘legacy project’ to leave behind to benefit the school for years to come. This year, the House Captains are working with Mr Perkins, Mrs Mower and Mrs Baxter to create a sensory garden so that children have a calm space to spend time reflecting, as part of our journey towards becoming a UNICEF Rights Respecting School. They organised a competition for pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2 to design the sensory garden; here are the winning designs!

The winners from each class, voted for by the pupils, were: Sophie (Hedgehogs), Teyla (Rabbits), Ava (Merlins), Katie (Goldfinches), Lena Z (Kingfishers), Edi (Robins) and Eva (Falcons). The House Captains chose Katie as the overall winner, with Eva and Ava as runner up, so Katie’s design will be turned into our new sensory garden, with elements of Eva’s and Ava’s designs incorporated into it – congratulations, all of you!
