Classes Get Ready to Express Themselves!

As we approach the end of term, classes are reaching the climax of their inspirations and have planned exciting ways to express their learning with their teachers. Here are a couple of fantastic examples from Key Stage 2, with other events also planned for next week...

The Kingfisher Cake Sale By Mukt and Oliver On Monday 17th December, Kingfisher (Year 4) are going to hold a cake sale at 3:30pm. All the money we raise will go to the Red Cross. Kingfisher class will provide cakes, but we would still appreciate it if you could bring some cakes to Laureate Community Academy.

Help Osprey Class save the Bornean Orangutan Osprey class would like to invite you to join them in the newly created - and open for just one afternoon - Rainforest Café on Tuesday 18th December from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. The café will be in the dining room, so please come straight to the courtyard gate. There will be all manner of goodies on sale, made by the children, to help raise money for Rainforest Trust UK. The project we have chosen to support is the preservation of the Indonesian Rainforests, where 25 orangutans are killed every day through illegal activities, including logging and clearing for illegal palm oil plantations. Every £2 we raise will help preserve 5 acres of rainforest –our aim is to raise £50. We will also be holding a raffle to win a toy orangutan, similar to the character seen in the Iceland/Greenpeace advertising film.
