Rights Respecting Schools Articles of the Week;
Article 4 (implementation of the Convention): Governments must do all they can to make sure every child can
enjoy their rights by creating systems and passing laws that promote and protect children’s rights.
Article 41 (respect for higher national standards): If a country has laws and standards that go further than
the present Convention, then the country must keep these laws.

PTA Christmas Fair (Saturday 3rd December 2022, 12-4pm)
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Thank you so much to everyone who supported the PTA non-uniform day today, donating money and prizes to
make next Saturday as successful as possible. Every year, a small group of parents and staff raise thousands
of pounds to pay for new books, equipment, activities etc. for your children. In order to make this year’s
Christmas Fair as successful as previous years, we really need your help! Please let the office or a PTA
committee member know if you can help with setting up, supervising a stall, serving refreshments etc. Raffle
and hamper tickets will be on sale all next week (please donate to make your child’s class hamper the best!).
Rights Respecting Schools Articles of the Week;
Article 2 (non-discrimination): The Convention applies to every child without discrimination, whatever their
ethnicity, sex, religion, language, abilities or any other status, whatever they think or say, whatever their family
background.
Article 23 (children with a disability): A child with a disability has the right to live a full and decent life with
dignity and, as far as possible, independence and to play an active part in the community. Governments must
do all they can to support disabled children and their families.
