Unity Secondary Arts Festival 2022

Through unity there is strength

Through recent times, the strength, resilience and humanity that can be achieved through cooperation and unity has been exemplified in so many ways, from the exceptional way that our staff and young people have weathered the storm of the pandemic to their extraordinary achievements in it’s wake and the unifying event that has been the Queen’s platinum jubilee. The Unity Schools Partnership’s 2022 summer arts festival celebrates this sense of unity and the creativity of the young people across our partnership.

Celebrate with us and look at the incredible work our students from across the trust have created and been a part of from the padlet below.

Important Message from the PTA – We Need Your Help!

Unfortunately, there were only two parents at this week’s virtual PTA meeting, meaning that our Christmas fundraising efforts to raise money to pay for a new climbing frame for the children to enjoy on the playground will be severely limited. We also only had three items donated for today’s nearly new Christmas jumper sale, so this had to be cancelled.

However, there are still a few ways that you can support us over the next couple of weeks to raise as much money as possible:

  • Please donate items for your child’s class hamper– there are no themes or colours this year, so anything that families might enjoy in a Christmas hamper would be greatly appreciated!
  • Please also buy as many tickets to win the hampers as you can – they will be on sale from Monday, and the class which sells the most tickets for their hamper will earn themselves a non-uniform day!
  • Prize draw tickets will also be on sale next week – please sell the book of tickets that your child brings home, and ask for more if you’d like them!
  • If you, your family or friends run your own business, and there is an item, voucher etc. that you could donate as a prize, please hand them in to the office!
  • Similarly, if you have a spare Christmas present or a new item that would make a good prize, please regift it to us so that we can make the prize draw as attractive as possible! Last year, despite all of the restrictions, we raised over £1000 – please help us to beat this total this year!
