Summer Fete - Sat 22nd June 2019

15th June 2019
SUMMER FETE - ONE WEEK AWAY!

We are looking forward to our seventh annual PTA Summer Fete next Saturday, 22nd June, from midday until 4:00pm!
But we need your help to make it as successful as in previous years:

- Thank you so much to everyone who sent in prizes, bottles and donations to support today’s non-uniform day.

- If you are able to help on the day, please complete the reply slip at the bottom of the letter sent home earlier this week

– any support with setting up or packing away, supervising a stall or game etc. would be very much appreciated.

- Donations of cakes or other baked goods or refreshments would also be gratefully received
– please drop them off at school next Friday or on the morning of the fete.

- Extra prizes for the prize draw or tombola would be most welcome – thank you so much to Jaggard Motors, who have donated the cash prizes for the prize draw as well as an incredibly generous donation to help cover other costs.

All money raised is used to benefit your children – in the past few years, the PTA have donated tens of thousands of pounds to fund library books, classroom resources, playground equipment and markings, reduced coach travel on school trips, the new cookery room currently being developed etc. – so please do come along and help us to make it another massive success!

Other PTA News and Upcoming Events

As well as organising the Summer Fete, the PTA Committee have been working hard on a number of other events – thank you very much to everyone involved in the following:

- Yesterday (Thursday), they hosted the annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic for our Nursery and Reception children; despite the weather, there was lots of fun and games enjoyed by all.

- They would like to enter a float in this year’s Newmarket Carnival – if you are available to help and/or would like to be a part of this on Saturday 6th July, please do speak to a member of the committee or our office staff for more information.

- They are currently planning the Year 6 leavers’ celebrations with the pupils.
